Kat, Above Knee Amputee, Double Wall Prosthetic Socket Leg
We had so much fun with Kat as she experienced one breakthrough moment after another throughout her time at POA! She even went out dancing one night - the first time since her amputation.😊Kat is a very warm and fun-loving person; everyone she met became a friend. Too cool! So great to see! Today is Sept 15 2022, in 5 days I will be at POA for my first prosthesis. My life slowly slid away from me starting May 23rd 2018. These amazing people will help me get it back. I am truly grateful for being sent here. I'm about as happy a camper as I can be!!

Thank so much it's hard for him to let others in, and to let you publicly share his story. We are both so thankful beyond words. One thing he didn't mention is that in January of this year while recovering from an amputation he went in to congestive heart failure and with in 4 days had bypass surgery. He truly has had one of the roughest years ever. Everyday I worried that he was going to be able to hang on, but he did. He has a gift to help others, but not able to help himself. He truly is my soulmate.
